The Blue Mountains begin only twenty minutes from our gated apartments in Long Mountain Country Club — the easiest world-famous day trip in Jamaica. Drive up to Holywell National Park for cool mountain air and bird-watching, stop at Strawberry Hill for lunch with one of the best views on the island, then tour a Blue Mountain coffee farm (Old Tavern Estate, Craighton, or Clifton Mount) and bring beans home. Start early — the drive winds, the clouds roll in by afternoon, and you'll want golden-hour light for photos on the way back down to Kingston. November through April are the driest, clearest months.
